Vrinelo cookie policy

This page explains, in plain English, how Vrinelo uses cookies and similar technologies on vrinelo.com: which ones are essential, which are optional, how long each one stays in your browser and how you can change your mind later. It covers every page we publish, our online forms and the consent panel on our homepage. If any of it is unclear, call us on +61 3 9042 7861 or write to vrinelo@hotmail.com and we will walk you through it.

What cookies are and why we mention them

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you come back to the page, the browser sends that file back to the site so the site can remember something about your last visit. Vrinelo uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand which pages people actually read. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to follow you around other websites.

The cookies we set

The site uses three groups of cookies. Each one has a specific job and, with the exception of the essential group, you can turn it off.

  • Essential cookies — these keep the site working, remember your cookie choice on the homepage, and protect forms from being submitted falsely. They are set because the site cannot work without them and do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies — these tell us which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where they came from. The data is aggregated and we cannot identify you from it. They are only set if you press Accept.
  • Preference cookies — these remember small choices, such as the language of a page or a dismissed banner, so you do not see the same prompt on every visit. They are only set if you press Accept.

How long they stay on your device

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, and we keep them short: the cookie choice itself is stored for twelve months, and analytics cookies expire after no more than fourteen months. Nothing we set remains on your device for longer than that.

Your choice and how to change it

When you visit the homepage you will see a consent panel with two buttons, Decline optional and Accept all. Both buttons work without a page reload, both hide the panel immediately, and both record your choice so the panel does not appear on your next visit. The choice is stored locally in your browser, on your own device, not on our servers.

  • To accept optional cookies, press Accept all on the panel.
  • To keep only essential cookies, press Decline optional.
  • To change a choice you have already made, clear the site data for vrinelo.com in your browser settings and reload the homepage. The panel will appear again.

You can also block or clear cookies entirely through your browser settings. Look for the privacy or site-data section in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Blocking essential cookies may stop the booking form and the site menu from working, so we recommend leaving those alone.

Third-party services

Some pages load content from other providers, such as the embedded Google map on the contact page and the font and script libraries used to render the design. These providers may set their own cookies when their content loads. We do not control those cookies and we recommend checking the privacy pages of Google and the relevant content delivery network if you want more detail.

If you have a question about the cookies we set, or you believe one is doing something that is not described on this page, email vrinelo@hotmail.com and we will look into it and update this page where needed.
