Vrinelo privacy policy

Vrinelo respects your privacy and this page explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect when you book a treatment, send us an enquiry or simply browse vrinelo.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It covers our salon at 60 Cremorne Street in Cremorne, our online booking forms, our email and phone conversations, and the choices you have at any point. If something here is unclear, call us on +61 3 9042 7861 or write to vrinelo@hotmail.com and we will walk you through it.

Who we are and what this policy covers

Vrinelo is a hair and beauty studio at 60 Cremorne Street, Cremorne VIC 3121, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book, visit, or contact us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to our website, our booking system, our in-studio forms, and any correspondence we have with you by phone or email.

If you have a question that is not answered here, email vrinelo@hotmail.com or call the studio during opening hours and ask for the privacy contact. We respond to privacy enquiries within five business days.

What information we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver the service you have asked for. In practice that means the following groups of information:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and the address you give us if we are travelling to you for a bridal or event booking.
  • Appointment history — the services you have booked, the dates, the stylist who did the work, and any notes from the consultation.
  • Technical colour and treatment records — the formulas, developer strengths, and processing times we use on your hair, plus any known allergies or sensitivities you tell us about.
  • Payment information — the amount billed and the method, held by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Photos — only with your written consent, and only the images you have agreed to. You can ask us to delete any image at any time and we will do so within seven days.
  • Website data — the technical details described in our cookie policy, such as the pages you visit and the browser you use.

Why we use your information

We use your personal information to confirm bookings, keep a record of what has worked on your hair before, take payment, answer enquiries, and comply with our legal obligations. Some of that use relies on your consent, some on the contract between us when you book a service, and some on our legitimate interest in running a safe and well-organised studio.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent your contact details to any other business. If we ever want to use your details for something outside the scope of this policy, we will ask you first and give you a clear way to say no.

Who we share information with

We share information only where it is necessary to run the studio, and only with providers who contract to protect it. These include our booking platform, our payment processor, and, when we are styling a wedding, the photographer or planner you have hired. We do not share information with advertising networks or data brokers.

We may disclose information if we are required to by law, by a court order, or by a regulator with the appropriate authority. Otherwise, nobody outside the studio sees your records without your permission.

How long we keep information and how we protect it

Colour and treatment records are kept for as long as you remain a client, so we do not have to rebuild your formula history each time you visit. If you have not visited for three years, we will clear your records unless you ask us to keep them. Payment records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Website analytics data is kept in an aggregated form and is not linked back to you.

Access to client records is limited to the stylists and front-of-house staff who need it to do their job. Digital records sit in password-protected systems, and paper consultation cards are kept in a locked cabinet in the studio.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete anything we no longer need, or stop using your details for a particular purpose. You can also withdraw consent for photographs at any time without affecting the rest of our relationship.

  • To make a request, email vrinelo@hotmail.com with the subject line Privacy request and describe what you would like us to do.
  • We will confirm receipt within two business days and complete the request within thirty days unless the law gives us a reason to take longer.
  • If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We review this policy at least once a year and whenever there is a material change in the way we handle personal information. The current version is always the one published on this page.
